Clover Legends Combat Guide: Combos, Dodges and Ultimates

Reviewed 2026-09-16Unofficial player article

Learn the opening hit, choose between combos, dodges and ultimates, and adapt practice when book milestones add spells.

Clover Legends combat combines real-time combos, dodges and ultimates. Learn to land an available attack, leave yourself room to respond, and finish a manageable encounter before trying a longer string or a larger group of enemies.

Learn the attack and the response separately

Inspect the equipped book's spell panel and choose an available move. Start with one enemy you can see clearly. Follow the hit and the enemy's next movement; if the opening misses, change position before adding another action.

This gameplay recording shows attacks, movement and growing enemy pressure during an ordinary session. Watch when the player can keep fighting and when a larger pull makes the situation harder to follow.

Give combos, dodges and ultimates different jobs

Use a combo to extend an opening that connected. Use a dodge as part of your response to pressure, with the live game's displayed controls as the input reference. Inspect an ultimate's availability and description before committing it; do not assume every book presents the same action or requirement.

An action should answer what is happening in the fight. Pressing every available move together can make the result harder to explain. A shorter attempt lets you identify whether the problem was reach, timing or exposure after the hit.

Scale practice with your available spells

Book Level 10 and 20 unlock spells in the equipped grimoire without a second spin. Revisit the combat plan at those milestones: try the added move separately, then decide whether it improves the opening, follow-up or response to the encounter.

Increase enemy pressure after the simpler version works. If a group overwhelms you, return to a manageable target and preserve the attack that already connected. This separates learning the loadout from testing how many enemies you can handle.

Read combat combo execution for a practice sequence, the combo structure list for possible arrangements, or dodging if the recurring problem is your defensive response.

Is there one input string for every book?

No universal string is established here. Use the equipped book's available actions and the controls displayed in your live game rather than transferring a different loadout's inputs unchanged.
